# Telegram

#### You can receive notifications directly in your Telegram chat or group, but first, there are a couple of things you have to do

* Notifications on Telegram will be sent through the [Tweet Catcher Telegram bot](https://t.me/TweetCatcherMonitorBot).  If you want the notifications to come to a group chat, you can follow [this guide](https://chatimize.com/telegram-bot-group/) on how to add the bot to a group
* After starting the bot use the /chat\_id command to retrieve the ID of the chat or group you will need when starting a task

### NOTE:

If you set your tasks to forward notifications to a group, remember that Telegram might automatically convert it to a supergroup (if it's not already), which will make the chat ID change. The conversion will occur if any of this condition is met

* Making the group public
* Changing a user's permissions
* Changing an admin's permissions
* Changing the group history visibility
* The 201st member joins
