You can receive notifications directly in your Telegram chat or group, but first, there are a couple of things you have to do

  • Notifications on Telegram will be sent through the . If you want the notifications to come to a group chat, you can follow on how to add the bot to a group

  • After starting the bot use the /chat_id command to retrieve the ID of the chat or group you will need when starting a task

NOTE:

If you set your tasks to forward notifications to a group, remember that Telegram might automatically convert it to a supergroup (if it's not already), which will make the chat ID change. The conversion will occur if any of this condition is met

  • Making the group public

  • Changing a user's permissions

  • Changing an admin's permissions

  • Changing the group history visibility
